Fall is quickly approaching and you're already stocked up on fuzzy socks, Bath and Body Works candles, and everything pumpkin spice. Arguably, it's the best time of the year because of football season and the changing weather and best of all: cute, Instagrammable date nights. Take your significant other (or just your pals!) out for some fun times before its too cold to do anything. Lubbock is the perfect place in the fall; you get cozy small town vibes but still have a whole lot of fun!

1. The Garden

Located in the Depot District, The Garden is an outdoor bar that is dog friendly, serves drinks and craft beer, and always has live music. With a more sophisticated crowd, this is the perfect place to hang out with your friends sipping on local beer as summer draws to an end.

2. At'l Do Farms

The corn maize is the main attraction here. This family owned farm has been opening it to the public for 17 years. There are also hayrides to a pumpkin patch and a barnyard to visit. Also, they give $2 off admission with your student I.D!

3. 4ORE Golf

If you like to golf, or even if you don't like to golf but you like to be social, this place is CALLING your name. Its an easy going, relaxed environment that you're sure to enjoy on any fall night in Lubbock with friends or your boyfriend/girlfriend.

4. The Orchard

What screams fall other than APPLES?? Apple pie, apple cinnamon candles, apple spice cider, the list goes on. Get your fall on by going apple picking at this local farm, which is also the only certified organic orchard in Texas.

5. Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market

This market is open EVERY Saturday morning until the end of October. You get a taste of what Lubbock is all about in one tiny spot, with the finest local dairy, baked goods, art, and so much more. Enjoy this while you still can with your dogs, moms, uncles, and everyone!

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
