The weather starts to get cooler, the sun goes down earlier, school is starting; these are all characteristics of the season of fall. What is the main point of the season of fall? In seasonal perspective, it is the perfect combination of weather and time of year. Could fall really be the best season?
Fall is seen by many as a new start, after a long summer. Even though it's seen as a new beginning, it takes place in the middle of the year! The weather changes from the sunny summer heat to chilly weeks under cloudier skies. There are more rainy dates to alleviate the stress that the heat of summer can put on the environment. Mostly, fall signals the kick-off of the new school year. It's usually an exciting time for someone like me. The summer may be filled with fun times with hometown friends, but when fall comes, I get to see everyone from school again and talk about how our summers went.
Fall is especially exciting in my life because there's a transition from school year to a new one. New professors, new classmates, and new class subjects allow for a new start. If you didn't do so well last semester; it's a new chance. Work harder and set new goals to reach.
Fall is also a time where outdoor festivities, including certain holidays, become a more frequent. Fall's change in weather allows people to venture in the outdoors because of the less humidity and general heat. It provides the perfect weather for sports like soccer and football. The boys of summer wrap up the baseball season with the World Series early in the fall. College and professional football teams start their seasons with intensity and continue to play through the fall months, which allows for football tailgates and other events exciting. Fall has the many holidays, such as Halloween and Thanksgiving, which are popular times for hayrides and pumpkin picking.
All of these factors have gone into my reasoning that Fall is the best season. It is, at least, the season that I have enjoyed the most throughout the years.
