Fall 2016 Anime To Watch

Fall is always an exciting time. Some get excited for pumpkin spice or halloween but I am hyped for a brand new anime season. This season seem to have some winners and you know I have my list ready to go for that first release. ( will be edited as more info comes)

'Ajin' season 2: I know I found this anime on Netflix and instantly I was hooked. I wanted more and when it ended I immediately wanted more. The animation style is cgi again. I would recommend watching the first season before starting on this one. A definite watch for anyone who was a fan of 'Tokyo Ghoul'. The first episode drops on October 8th.

'All Out!!!': We have had anime about soccer, volleyball, baseball, tennis, and cycling. Now we have one about rugby. It seems like your typical sport anime where the team has to work together with strikingly different personalities but the premise of learning the dynamics of a rugby team is a big draw. Based off the teaser it could go either way. Only time will tell. Look out for this anime to be in the season update. The first episode will drop October 7.

'Wabashi ga Motete Dousinda': This is one anime that I am honestly excited for and know exactly what to expect. This is a manga adaptation of one of my favorite manga currently. The main character is a plus-size otaku who is in high school. She ends up losing weight which attracts the attention of four of her fellow male classmates. The shenanigans that end up happening are both entertaining and somewhat realistic ( for anime). If you are a fan of shojo manga and are looking for something kinda out of the box for the genre this is for you. The first episode drops October 7.

'Yuri!!! On Ice': This season is the season of sport anime that we haven’t seen before. I for one am excited to see something other than soccer and tennis. This anime is about figure skating, how they will transfer ( if at all) the typical sport anime tropes to this sport is what caught my attention. I don’t have a lot information about this anime but from the teaser it looks pretty interesting. I will definitely add this to my season update reviews. The first episode drops October 6.

'Occultist;Nine': This from the synopsis I have read seems to be a paranormal science anime with the same type of vibe as 'Cage of Eden'. As a big fan of 'Cage of Eden' and paranormal, I am very interested to see how this anime will mesh them. The setting does have some major differences as it is more similar to psycho pass that the survival island that 'Cage of Eden' took place on. The amount of suspense and confusion of what is going on though is similar in my opinion. The first episode drops October 8th.

'Nanbaka': At first I was like another prison anime, really don’t we have enough. I was really drained of the angst that comes along with it but then I saw that they are taking another route. From what I can see it is heading as a pure comedic action instead pure angst and pain. I don’t have any other information but we will see. The first episode drops October 7.

'Udon No Kuni': Every season anime industry realizes the amount of angst that they put fans through is immense and decide to give all off us a break for a show. This is this show, it is about a web designer meeting a little boy and quitting his job to raise him. I can’t wait to see this. It looks so cute and had potential to be well written. The first episode drops October 9th.

I honestly can’t wait for this season. There were so many shows I wanted to review but I can’t review them all. These are the ones that look the most promising. I might add some shows to season update that are not on this list. So look out for them. Season updates will be released after three episodes for each show are released.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
