We allow ourselves too often to become consumed in the fear to fail, when we should just embrace it.

We live in a world that strives for perfection. Perfection gets you good grades, scholarships, jobs, money, and so much more. We all have experienced the fear of failure or actual failure. This feeling is raw and leaves us to do nothing, but when do nothing, our opportunities for success are stopped as well. However, we can grow from our failures as so many successful people of done. The list of failures to success includes Michael Jordan, Walt Disney, Oprah Winfrey, Colonel Harland David Sanders, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, and so many others.

These people did not let failure stop them, as they pushed through the many obstacles to accomplish their goals. So how do we overcome this fear to fail or failure itself?

1. Know That Failure Is Inevitable.

If we all want to live a life full of passion, meaning, and purpose, we have to take the harder path to get there. To be able to live out your dreams you have to be able to embrace a little bit of failure.

2. Fail More. Succeed Even More.

Constructive criticism can be the worst thing to hear, but it gives you the opportunity to improve what you are doing. Even the most successful people fail every day.

3. Failure is Temporary.

Failure is an event, not a person. You are going to fail, but it is important to embrace it and go back trying even hard. Failure is only permanent when you stop and decide to do nothing, thus accepting it. Don't accept it. You are stronger than the failures.

4. Change Your Mindset.

Who taught you that failure is a bad thing? Failure can be a blessing as we only can become wise when we fail. Failure teaches us the importance of hard work, determination, and perseverance.

5. Always Follow Your Passion.

No matter your failures, continue pressing towards your passion in life. By pressing forward you are blasting away your fears of failing and will allow you to find your own purpose and be successful. Just keep swimming towards your passion. Don't let anything get in your way.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
