I am not a Tulsa native, but since attending ORU, I have slowly become accustomed to the crazy, daily weather changes. Along with these changes comes the struggle to look presentable every day. Some days, we put in the extra effort to look good. But on other days, we just fail at fashion.
Here are 5 times where trying to be fashionable at college, specifically ORU, can be a failure:
1. The time you wanted to up your game and wear a dress or skirt...
...and you were feeling great, like a twirling Taylor Swift on a random front porch:
...but once you went outside, you realized that the wind is definitely a common occurrence in Tulsa. But it's okay, because you still looked cute:
OK, let's be real...this is what really happened:
2. Those times you thought there would be a massive snow storm because the weatherman told you so, but soon thereafter it hits you that it was all a lie...
It was just a dusting, but you are dressed for a blizzard:
...so you end up wearing your warmest wool sweater that your Aunt Tina made, and you're stuck sweating bullets because there's no time to go back to your room to change.
3. Those times you were going to class (knowing that geese would be along your path) so you had to dress like you were going into a battle zone...
Well, because geese are the worst.
4. The times you slipped on your rain boots and had your umbrella at hand, only to find out that it's freakishly sunny outside...
...so you pretend that you totally meant to wear the rain boots and rain coat for the heck of it.
Or even worse, you didn't dress appropriately for any extreme weather, and there was a massive rainstorm:
5. Those days of the week that you have HPE (gym class), but still try to look good after class is over...
...even though you had to run around the track one too many times and the "looking good" part isn't working out. (Pun intended).
What's even worse, is when you can't get the sweating to stop even after class is over.
You may feel like everyone is judging you...
But we're all in the same boat, juggling finals, a social life, and a job. Some may say...
