Face Masks Are The New Bra: You Don't Like Wearing Them, But You Have To

In This Article:

Face masks have truly become the new bra. We may sometimes forget and leave home without it or get uncomfortable wearing them, but face masks have now become a fashion accessory, if you will. However, to make this mask wearing time a little bit easier you have to care for your cloth face mask, which is similar in the way you care for your bra.

1. Wash them

That is right, wash your face mask! Find yourself breaking out? Maybe the time has come to wash your face mask. Just like with your bra, you want to hand wash your face mask. This will help your face mask last longer and not wear out or lose form. You can use a mild detergent, or even better use woolite. Woolite is perfect for delicates, such as bras, and now, our facemarks.

2. Change them up

This pandemic is not ending any time soon, so having multiple masks would be ideal. Wearing the same face masks for weeks, or months, on end does not benefit you. Just like with your bras, you need to give them a break once in a while. I would recommend changing your face mask every three days.

3. Wear the right mask for the right occasion.

Just like with our bras, we have some for different occasions, such as working out, lingerie, casual, push up etc. This same concept is applied to masks. For me, I have cloth face masks for everyday going out, an N95 mask for work and disposable face masks. Each mask provides a different level of protection, the same way a bra provides a different level of support. But, to each their own, I am sure we all have a preferred face mask.
