Orlando Theme Parks Are Starting To Open But Require You To Wear Masks And Some Aren't Happy

After announcing that Florida is reopening in phase and into the full phase one, theme parks in Orlando are able to submit their plans on reopening to the public. Ever since the closure of the parks, many passholders and guests in general have been waiting on their heels for information that will tell them when they can go back to their happy places.

While there has been mass speculation about the conditions of how theme park reopening will be, it has been exceedingly clear that wearing a face mask will be important. Disneyland in Shanghai opened earlier this month and required guests to wear face masks in addition to adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Wearing a face mask has been a hot topic; many argue that face masks are worn to protect yourself while others argue that it is supposed to protect others. There's a multitude of people who are arguing the increasing number of businesses requiring for visitors to wear masks that have been blowing up online.

The argument of people who are against face masks is that while wearing a face mask, breathing may become difficult and can cause health problems. Going into summer weather, there is the argument presented that wearing a mask with Florida heat will result in people having difficulty being comfortable and the potential of having a heat stroke. There's a multitude of people who argue that if you truly have a problem going to a place that requires you to wear a mask, then just don't go.

On May 21, Universal Orlando announced that it had a plan to reopen to the public on June 5. It was confirmed that all visitors and workers must wear face masks if they are to go to the parks. Instantly there was a public outcry of people complaining that they do not want to go to Universal if it means they have to wear a mask.

Wearing a face mask isn't a matter of comfort. Whether it's to protect yourself or the people around you, it's been established that wearing face masks can help slow the spread of COVID-19. Going back to my retail job, wearing a face mask is a requirement for employees but not for guests; some have given grief as seeing people working masks make them feel uncomfortable in the store. If you don't agree with wearing a face mask, wearing it anyways is just the right thing to do to help flatten the curve.

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

And despite her sometimes harsh words, April truly cares about the people she's closest to. These are all reasons she is the epitome of a college student. Life is full of twists and turns, but you have to keep going.

Life is all about twist and turns, sideways and which ways. Nothing is permanent, so we should take risks, and chase our dreams. We are taught at a young age many lessons that will follow us into adulthood. What we aren't taught is how to feel, and how we handle those emotions. We just have to figure them out ourselves, and that's not fun. In my 21 years of living, I have come to know that way too many people can't handle emotions, or the fact that not everyone is dead inside like them. When you're like me, and you have zero control over your emotions, it's hard to feel comfortable around people who aren't so in touch with themselves. As much as I would like to feel nothing at times, I've accepted who I am and the fact that I can cry over practically nothing. So, there are some things in life that you just have to do.
