Makeup. Every girl has had to wear it at some point in her life, or at least she will. There are so many different looks you can create and ways to wear it to "personalize" yourself. Eyeliner is one of the most difficult things to master when it comes to makeup, and the outcome is always either a hit or a miss. Shadow, pencil, liquid, gel -- there's many different options here. Eyeliner defines both our eyes and our personality. Without further ado, here is what your eyeliner says about you:

1. No eyeliner.

You're "Monday" in girl form. You're always tired and probably really into sports. You have very good skin complexion and you don't need eyeliner to create a distraction or focus point on your face because you have natural beauty. You also don't give a rats a** about what people think of you and you enjoy life's indulgences more than once or twice a week.

2. Waterline only on the bottom.

"I don't have a lot of time but I want to look like I put a little effort into myself today." You also don't really know what to do with liquid eyeliner and wonder how in the world girls can "wing it out" perfectly. You actually don't even know what that means. For a different look, you might pack on some eyeshadow with it, but other than that, this eyeliner style is your go-to look (and you wear it every day, don't even lie).

3. Waterline on top and bottom.

You used to only line it on the bottom, but you discovered the magical world of lining it on the top, too. Adding the line on the top is a bit fancy for you, so you might wear it on the daily, but you definitely wear it when you're trying to make a good impression. You're probably guilty of not taking it off before bed, especially after a night out. There has definitely been a time you forgot to wear mascara with it as well.

4. On your lash line, with a tiny gap between the actual eyeliner and your lashes.

You've been watching all of the makeup tutorials on YouTube and you're really trying but you just can't perfect it. It's okay darling, you'll get it eventually.

5. Bright colors.

You're a bold person, you're fun and you like to play around with your look. You're not afraid of trying new trends for fun. You're probably coordinating it with your outfit and your lipstick and pretending your life is actually put together. It's fine.

6. Winged out eyeliner that looks different on each eye.

You really like the look of the winged eyeliner and you're really trying your best to master it, but understand it takes time. Not everyone is a makeup artist with perfect hand-eye coordination when it comes to this mastery. You care about how you look and you want others to see that you put effort into yourself. Don't worry, you don't go unnoticed. Good effort!

7. Perfectly winged out eyeliner.

This person does not exist. And if they do, they are a magical unicorn. Please teach us your ways.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
