Exploring America's Fifth Most Popular Dog Breed

Beagles, in my opinion, are the cutest, most lovable dogs in the entire universe. They are apartment friendly, know when to console you if something is wrong, and they are family pets. My love for beagles began back when I was a little kid watching Charlie Brown specials around the holidays. To this day, I MUST always watch them no matter when they are on. I also have been fortunate enough to have always grown up with dogs which have luckily always been beagles. We did have a black lab first but once Lucky passed away, we went for smaller dogs. I am going to dig into what makes this furry breed so lovable and hopefully at the end of this listicle, you will want to get a Snoopy yourself!

1. They Love Exercise!

I can't tell you how many times I take my favorite canines on walks when I am home. It makes their day being outside and being able to smell all the smells that it brings. They also always end up sleeping a lot once we are done so it is good for them!

2. They are short-haired medium sized dogs

Does the appeal of a large dog not get on your good side? Do you not like small dogs because of their size? Then a beagle is right for you!

3. You want a lively canine

These guys and gals are generally busy exploring their world. They’ll investigate anything and everything. They’ll bring you their “finds” with tail wagging and butt swinging. My beagle Ruby once brought me a dead bird and I about died.

4. The beagle head tilt

Its a real thing trust me. If you start talking to your beagle, they move their head like they understand what you are talking about.

5. The Department of Homeland Security Has a Beagle Brigade

The US government trains Beagles to sniff out luggage at airports, helping to find contraband agricultural products and prevent them from reaching American soil. So if the government loves them, why not you?

I hope I made some valid points for wanting you to get a beagle as your next furry friend. I know you won't regret your decision!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
