Experiencing His Goodness

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know him.” - 1 John 3:1, NKJV

Experiencing His Goodness

Our God is so good and has been so good and will always and forever be so good. He is always working in so many ways every second of every day even in the little things.

I was walking out of chapel one day this week and a couple of my friends from back home were walking down the road and said, “Hey Bailie! We’re going to hoop cheese want to come eat with us?” And I didn’t have a class until 2:30, so I went. We immediately recognized this as a “God moment.” When we got back to campus, we were thanked Him for that time we got to spend together.

As our Father, He continuously treats us to these little moments, we just need to look for them. I don’t believe in coincidences because our God is still alive and working. We just have to be on the lookout.

In a song a song by Francesca Battistelli, it says “Let us become more aware of Your presence, let us experience the glory of Your goodness.”

Just like my parents and other friends from back home have been sending me mail and little packages since school started, God sends us little moments like these.

Give Him the glory for all of the good and perfect things because they are from Him after all. Recognize Him today. Constantly be on the lookout for the good little things to happen because after all He is such a good Father. The best we could ask for, and we are so blessed to be His children.

“Oh, this Love so undeniable I, I can hardly speak Peace so unexplainable I, I can hardly think As You call me, deeper still As you call me deeper still As you call me deeper still Into love, love, love.” - Good Good Father, Chris Tomlin

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
