My Experience Working At A Restaurant

It is easy to just walk into a restaurant and sit down and eat. Working at a restaurant is not so easy. That is why I am writing this article on what I learned from being in a restaurant. Here are some tips you can learn when sitting down to eat.

First, remember that we as the employees want to make sure you are having a good time and want to come back. To do that we must always feel like matter and should be respected as well. Both we need to make sure we are on the same page so everyone is happy.

Timing is another tip to remember. Just remember that if a restaurant closes at 10 then it is best you do not come in at 9:30 when most people are trying to clean up. Even if it closes at 11, you should not come in at 10:30 and the people who are working there want to clean up and go home at a decent time and not stay there all night.

Not only time is the issue, but staying late. I see most nights, folks are done eating and the restaurant is closing, but they still sit there and chat on and on. As the employees, it is very stressful because we can not clean until you leave!

Next time you go to a restaurant think about the backwaters who have been there and day and show them respect as they want to please you.

Next time you go out to eat, remember to leave when you are down eating because we all want to clean up and go home and finish cleaning the floor and kitchen.

It is a stressful job, it is a fun job. Working at a restaurant only taught me to see both ends of the stick. One view as the customer and the other one as the employee. These are my tips and it is best you follow.

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
