During July, I was out west in Arizona on vacation and visiting family in Scottsdale. During my trip, my cousin who lives there wanted to show us one of her favorite jewelry companies, so one afternoon at the beginning of my trip she took us to the jewelry store. The brand was called Kendra Scott. Before that trip I can tell you, I had never heard of this brand before, and on our drive to the shop, I was hesitant about going out of the way to visit this store in the first place. My main concern was if it was worth my time. Since I had no previous knowledge on the brand, I had no clue how much the jewelry even cost. Was it going to be priced like Tiffany & Co. fine jewelry? Was it going to be so expensive that I wouldn't even consider buying anything because of the price? I had no clue. I am happy to say that all of my assumptions were wrong.

When we arrived at Scottsdale Quarter, a popular outdoor shopping plaza with dozens of little boutiques, it was bustling with activity, even for a hot summer day in Arizona. We walk under the misting fans at the storefronts and make our way into the brightly lit Kendra Scott store. With elegant displays and an abundance of beautiful jewelry, my first impression was that this brand was nice quality and also something that I would wear. After checking the prices and seeing that they ranged from fifty to a hundred fifty dollars for an average piece, I was excited, because it wasn't outrageous prices like I thought it would be, and they even had a clearance rack. I also knew it was a popular brand when I spotted Miss Arizona doing a meet-and-greet at the front of the store as I was shopping.

Now, Kendra Scott jewelry is unique by the way they can customize pieces for you on the spot. For example, if you are interested in a certain ring design, but want to pick your own stones for it, at the counter at the back of the story they create custom pieces for the customers. In addition, they had exclusive pieces that can only be found in a specific state which is a cool idea and all the cute cactus and sun themed charms they had for Arizona were amazing! I would say that the overall style of the jewelry was elegant bohemian.

We spent over a half-hour browsing the little storefront. By the end I found a cute bracelet on clearance that I loved, my mom found a lovely bracelet as well, my cousin a cute necklace, and my aunt a custom ring. I am happy to say that I am now a part of the Kendra Scott family, and I am enjoying my bracelet deeply.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
