For some of us this monumental Election has replaced what had been a source of inspiration for a defeated sense of apathy, but for just about everyone seems to be ready to simply be done with it. What does this spectacle of an ordeal mean in regards to the state of not just the Political sphere, but also our level of participation therein?

Can we truly consider ourselves to be the greatest Nation on Earth when our elections are wrought with figures characterized by borderline psychopathic behaviors alongside criminal tendencies? Furthermore it has become growingly apparent that this Democratic Republic of ours has come to function more as some sort of Carta than any Constitutionally bound system of governance. At times it seems that the only measures being taken in regard to 'checks and balances' involve blank checks being written alongside large sums being added to shadowed balances.

November 8th marks the end of a historic election, let us hope that we make it until 2020 one way or another. We can still become the greatest Country on Earth, we'll just have to be sure we act the part.
