Excision's most recent stage set up, The Paradox, was brought around with him on tour all across the country. Many people got to see something in the EDM community that has never been seen before. The only other DJ specific set I've seen is The Mothership with Skrillex. The Paradox describes the stage that is brought to you by PK sound and is powered by 150,000 Watts of mayhem. This thing is absurd. For someone who categorizes themself as a "basshead," this is a must see. Outfitted with lights and lasers around the entire perimeter, the show is supported by the graphics on the screen that stretches across the entirety of the stage. In fact, I saw this previously in Tulsa, Oklahoma and they could only fit half of the setup in Caine's Ballroom! HALF! The Paradox complemented Excision so well because the absurdity of the drops was picture perfect with the powerful speakers. As I tried taking videos from front and center the audio had cannibalized itself and came out a jumbled mess (crying emoji).
Now the reason I say all of this is because Excision has just announced his upcoming tour with The Paradox AGAIN, and I am ecstatic! With more shows added to the roster and I'm sure more visuals, the only thing that compliments this tour better is the drop of his new album, Virus. Which now has been out for about three or so weeks. Excision will also be supported by Cookie Monsta, Barely Alive, and for the first time on tour Dion Timmer. Timmer is a protege of X's and is already producing bangers. I can't wait to see him live as well. Be sure to get tickets soon because if for some reason you haven't heard of The Paradox tour then the rock you live under will be a lonely place if you don't get the opportunity to see this beast when it comes to a city near you.
Now all I'm saying is I plan on catching this bad boy two more times to bring it to a grand total of 5 times I've seen Excision. Roast me for it, but he is the best. All hail X.
P.S. To get a more immersive view of The Paradox, check out the brand new video for "Rave Things" which features only shots from this set. Like I said, insane. Worth every penny.
