Anyone could be "A.D." at this point

Examining The Most (and Least) Likely Pretty Little Liar Theories Before The Series Finale
HDQ Walls

I've written  quite a bit about "Pretty Little Liars" over the years. Although the show has certainly gone way over the top in recent seasons with it's frequent love triangles, unexpected pregnancies, and all of A's elaborate torture techniques, it still manages to attract millions of viewers, all eagerly awaiting to find out the face behind the iconic black hoodie. While it's definitely a fun for fans to mock PLL's questionable fashion choices and melodramatic relationships there's no denying the show's status as a major pop culture phenomenon. I even managed to get my dad hooked!

When the first episode of "Pretty Little Liars" aired back in 2009, I had just finished eighth grade. Now as I'm getting ready to start my second semester as a college senior, it seems fitting that I finally have to say goodbye to Rosewood. But for all of us that have grown up alongside "PLL" and grown attached to the strong friendships between the four Liars, it's hard to believe that there's only three episodes left until the mystery is solved for good. Especially since we still have so many unanswered questions.

So before Freeform airs the finale on June 27th, I wanted to take some time to evaluate some of the greatest and most unbelievable theories that only the most hardcore PLL fans could have managed to come up with.

1. Jessica is Alive (and A.D.)

Jessica is the twin who is actually alive and has been pretending to be Mary in order to tear apart the Hastings family and convince Spencer that her real mother was a crazy woman. Peter Hastings claimed earlier this season that Mary Drake was responsible for killing Alison's mother. but what if it was the other way around? We know Jessica hated Mary and tried to have her forcibly institutionalized, so it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch that she would want to get rid of both her and Charlotte while also destroying Veronica and Spencer's mother-daughter relationship as revenge for Peter's cheating.

While on the one hand this explanation feels a little far-fetched/overly-complicated, it's actually the choice that connects the most with the twin storyline of the original Sara Shepard book series.

Odds that it's true: 6/10

2. Aria is A.D./Mentally Unstable

The biggest and most shocking reveal the show could pull would be to make one of it's core characters the Big Bad Since the first season, one of the strongest, most passionate portions of the PLL fandom has been the Aria is A community. A lot of longtime watchers noticed that Aria always got the easiest treatment from A and wondered if this was because she was clevery acting as a double agent. This theory also explains why the texts only began once Aria returned to Rosewood by proposing the idea that she was never actually on a family vacation in Iceland, but instead spent that year in Radley, coming up with the entire A scheme as a way to write her own bestselling novel.

Now it looks like the evil Aria fantasies are finally coming true. For the past few episodes, A.D. has managed to blackmail Aria into becoming one of her minions by threatening to expose her shameful police file and send Erza to prison. While Aria wants to protect her fiancé of course, the guilt over doing A's bidding and hurting her friends is starting to eat away at her, even driving her into musical-themed hallucinations.

So while she may not actually be the one running the 'A' Game, Aria has definitely gone to the dark side.

Odds that it's true: 10/10 (sorta?)

3. Wren is A.D. (or Working for the 'A' Team)

"Even a lie would sound good in that accent." This line sparked hundreds of PLL fans to set their sights on Dr. Wren Kingston, Melissa's old fiancé and Spencer's Season 1 secret fling, as the wildcard mastermind behind the entire show. Wren has certainly had his fair share of suspicious, unexplainable moments. He was on the other end of a hushed phone call with Shana back in Season 4 before she tried to kill the Liars by setting fire to the Lost Woods Resort to coloring a photo of a girl in a familiar red coat.

After a particularly strange scene where he misspelled the word "diagnosis" in a therapy session with Mona people began to doubt that he was even a real doctor. Plus, he once told Spencer that he had some seriously messed up members in his family tree.

While many Anti-Wren theorists dismissed him as a possible suspect since he hadn't been on the show since season 4,Wren's sudden, unexpected reappearance at the airport last episode have once again put Wren back under the "A" spotlight.

Odds that it's true: 7/10

4. Melissa is A.D. and the leader of the NAT Club

The popular "Pretty Little Liars" podcast "Bros Watch PLL Too" once dubbed Melissa Hastings, the shadiest person in all of Rosewood, and I would have to agree. Even in a town full of cheating spouses, mask-wearing murderous teenage girls, abandoned doll hospitals, and spooky Halloween trains...Melissa somehow still manages to put everyone on edge. Even after she confessed to lying about Bethany Young's death in order to protect Spencer from taking the blame, none of the Liars have ever been able to completely trust her. Plus she's connected in some way to almost all of the members of the creepy spy organization, the NAT Club, including Ian, Jason, and CeCe.

Even if Melissa ends up not being A, never forget that she did once bury a girl alive.

Odds that it's true: 8.5/10

5. Spencer's Secret Twin

Affectionately dubbed by the fandom the "Spencerietta Theory," the idea that Spencer has a secret, evil twin is recent but surprisingly popular fan idea that started gaining steam after the Season 7 premiere featured a scene where Hanna dreamed that a false "Spencer" appeared to her in a dream. The idea behind this one is that Mary Drake actually had two daughters in Radley and the second baby remained in the mental institution and was driven mad with jealousy towards Mary's other daughters (Charlotte and Spencer). Therefore, she's the one responsible both for pushing Charlotte off the bell tower and for orchestrating the whole A scheme as a way to torture Spencer and her friends.

"Pretty Little Liars" has done the secret twin storyline before meaning that this one's probably unlikely...but how cool would it be to see Troian Bellissrio do an evil monologue scene against herself?!

Odds that it's true: 2/10...but we can dream.

6. Mona/Jenna/Mary Drake/literally anyone is A.D.

And then there's always the usual handful of red herring characters the writers have been trying to get us to suspect all season. Mona, Mary, and Jenna have all proven themselves capable of switching sides at any time, so viewers can't count them out completely. All three seem way too obviously suspicious to actually be A and would feel like major letdowns after so many years of waiting for a final, shocking twist... but many people predicted last season's reveal of CeCe as Uber A that the show might once again go then predictable path.

Odds that it's true: 9/10

Bonus Craziness: The Emily/Alison/Charlotte Baby Theory:

And finally, one of the strangest (and grossest) theories to come out of this newest season is the prediction that the father of Alison and Emily's baby is actually Charlotte! A portion of the fandom thinks that not only did A.D. steal Emily's donated eggs and forcibly implant them into Alison, but they also may have taken Charlotte's DNA to serve as the sperm donor. Hopefully the writers have enough sense not to go this plot route considering how offensive it is to Charlotte's transgender storyline. Not to mention the fact that Charlotte and Ali are technically cousins. However, if these past few episodes have taught us anything, it's that absolutely no theory is completely off the table.

Odds that it's true: Oh lord, let's hope not.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
