The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma.

Over the long winter break, we realize that we miss Towson and really want to go back, even though we were so excited to go home. As we finally return, Spongebob helps reflect on our beloved school.

1. Getting kicked out of the Liberal Arts Building by the cops:

We get a notification about an armed robbery every other day, but we get kicked out for studying for finals...

2. When you're too lazy to go anywhere else for food, so you sit in Glen and contemplate your decision:

What have I done to myself...and my stomach?

3. Finally going uptown again after a long winter break without it:

Even in 30-degree weather.

4. Cramming to finish a paper due at midnight when it's 11:45 p.m.

What I learned in boating school is....

5. Going to the hot dog cart after a long night:

He is the real MVP.

6. Wondering when the renovation on Burdick Gym will actually be started/finished:

"Will be done in Fall 2017," More like: will start in Fall 2017.

7. When you're the only one in PAWS but it takes them at least 30 minutes to make your grilled cheese:

Seriously though, why?

8. Walking into an 8 a.m. wearing what you slept in:

Everyone has done this.

9. When every professor decides to have everything due the same week:

"Can I be excused for the rest of my life?"

10. When your roommate leaves for a weekend:

The room just isn't the same when you're all alone.

11. When you get a bad advisor:

You're supposed to help me figure out what to do with my life, but you don't even answer emails.

12. Realizing that Pizza Palace, PAWS, and Roadside are catching up to you:

"It will go straight to your thighs, and then you blow up."

13. When every inch of campus is lined with ice but class isn't cancelled:

Or when they don't send a message that class is cancelled until you already wake up early for class.

14. There is always an interesting smell on the elevators:

15. Trying to use your brain after a month of not using it:

Horseradish is not an instrument either.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
