Sorry people, more negativity.

1. Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian
So, just in case you live under a rock, it's safe to confirm that Kim/Kanye are pretty much in a feud with Taylor Swift...Again...But will it turn legal? Dun, dun, dun... Anyways, the fight happened with Kanye's wife, Kim, released multiple videos on her Snapchat story of the conversation between Taylor and Kanye of him reportedly briefing her and asking her opinion on the song he was going to release. "Famous" is a song on "Life of Pablo" that Kanye released a couple of months ago. On the song, Kanye raps "I feel like Taylor and I might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous". Taylor, however, continues to report that she had 'no previous knowledge' on the subject at matter. "She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message," a spokesperson for the singer said. "Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, 'I made that bitch famous.'" Regardless, whatever the real side of the story, America needs to get over it as if this is some stupid fight we've never seen before. *Insert emoji rolling eyes*

2. Melania Trump and her 'Plagiarized' RNC Speech from 'Michelle Obama'

"My mother and father gave us a middle class life with opportunities they never could have imagined for themselves but always believed could be possible for their children and that was a great gift that I will be forever grateful for. Bill and I of course worked hard to pass on those values to our daughter." Hillary Clinton at the New American Foundation in 2014.

To all of you people thinking Melania Trump 'plagiarized' Michelle Obama, yes, she is guilty but look past that and hear from your 'beloved' Obama and Clinton. She is not the only one in politics guilty of such a thing.

As a matter of fact, I find it hard to believe that more than 2% of the people who shared that video on Facebook even watched the Republican National Convention last night. You all blatantly log on Facebook everyday and expect it to do it for you. Turn on a TV and exercise your right to be an American. Stand with Trump, don't stand with Trump, some of you don't even know why you hate him, it just seems like the 'right thing to do'. Just remember that everything you believe to be negative about the Trump's comes with about ten more American families in politics that are doing the same things, if not worse *cough cough the Clintons*.

3. The Type-1 Diabetes Vaccine May Almost Be Finished
So, on a positive note! There are two major types of diabetes: Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is diagnosed in people ranging from childhood to early adulthood while Type 2, or adult onset diabetes, is seen to be diagnosed in adults. Diabetes is basically just the body unable to make insulin properly.

The vaccine is moving to Phase II trials after being found successful in experiments on mice. This trial will last for about five years and tested on people 18-60. The vaccine is already found to be readily available to people in treatment for tuberculosis and bladder cancer. Beta cells make and release insulin into the blood are destroyed with this disease and also seen to eradicate problematic white blood cells. Along with this trial, proper dosage is also planned to be discovered for the subjects acting in the trial.

4. Kristy Malter, the Poor Girl Who Lost Her Life to Bacterial Meningitis
About a week ago, a 21 year old female lost her life to something we hardly ever hear of anymore. Bacterial meningitis. When was the last time we've heard of this? As far as we've heard this has been an incredibly rare disease. Especially where I am from. Which is where this young women was from: Shelby Township, Michigan. Kristy Malter was described as "an upbeat junior at Central Michigan University who loved working with children".

Bacterial meningitis is inflammation of the spinal cord and the brain, more specifically, the meninges around the brain and spinal cord. There are three different kinds of bacterial meningitis with this type being the most serious. It starts off with a stiff neck, high fever, and a severe headache and can be passed person to person by direct contact of body fluids. Fortunately, there IS a vaccine for the bacteria that causes this in people.

5. Donald Trump Picks Governor Mike Pence of Illinois as Pick for Vice President
"I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate. News conference tomorrow at 11:00 A.M.," the presumptive Republican nominee tweeted.

So sorry Chris Christie! On Friday morning in New York City at the Hilton Midtown in Manhattan, Trump made the official statement that he would be picking Governor Mike Pence as his running mate for Vice President in the 2016 Presidential election. With this selection, Trump is doing a great justice to remain with the Republicans as his running mate holds strong ties to the Republican party's base. "And as governor of Indiana, he faced major political backlash over his decision to sign into law a "religious freedom" measure that infuriated major businesses that saw it as anti-LGBT." Pence seems to have no problem standing alongside Trump in his race to defeat Crooked Hillary as he stated "Clinton must never become President of the United States".

6. Dani Mather's, the "Fat People Shamer" aka Playboy Bunny
Not only did this insanely rude and offensive Snapchat just kick Mather's out of the gym, but it also got her fired from her job and a criminal investigation. She has received a ton a backlash for this picture - so much in fact that one brave lady came out in defensive for the lady on the other side of the picture.

"Not all of us work out to be 'hot,' " she continued. "Some of us work out simply to honor the bodies we were given. That's all that woman was trying to do and you violated her. Shame on you." As for Mathers, she is currently under investigation for distribution of a private photo and police are currently looking for the victim. Mather's released a statement apologizing for what she did and saying she was wrong to do so and it is not the kind of person that she is.

7. 5 Dallas Police Killings
It started as a 'peaceful protest' in response to the movement Black Lives Matter.

Brent Thompson, Patrick Zamarripa, Michael Krol, Michael J. Smith, and Lorne Ahrens are the five victims of the Dallas shooting; amongst them, seven police officers and two civilians were injured. Micah Xavier Johnson was the lone shooter who acted out of payback to the previous police brutality victim, Alton Sterling. Bomb-making materials, rifles, ammunition, ballistic vests and a personal journal of combat tactics were found inside the home of Johnson. Amongst these findings, he was said to have no priors or history of criminal activities and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch addressed the nation about the attack on Friday. “The answer must not be violence. The answer is never violence. Rather, the answer, all our answers, must be action. Calm, peaceful and collaborative action,” she said during a press conference. “As Americans, we share not just a common land, but a common life. Not just common goals but a common heart and soul.” President Barack Obama also gave his condolences in a speech as well.

Thoughts and prayers are with the families and Dallas Police Department as they go through this difficult time.

8. 3 Baton Rouge Police Officers Killed

On Sunday in Louisiana, a 29 year old Missouri man went on a killing spree injuring three and killing three officers. The previous week it was said that death threats were sent to the Louisiana Police Department. It was said that the man went on this spree 'for his birthday' and spent time in Iraq with the military.

Montrell Jackson, Brad Garafola and Matthew Gerald were the victims of this fatal misdoing. Montrell Jackson made Facebook posts saying "I swear to God I love this city, but I wonder if this city loves me. In uniform I get nasty, hateful looks and out of uniform some consider me a threat. ... These are trying times. Please don't let hate infect your heart." Such a shame that this had to happen for a second time in such a short period of time. We need to unify together and become one to put our country back together. We should not be injuring the ones who put their lives on the line everyday to protect us - they are there as a courtesy and for no other reason.

9. Hillary Clinton vs. FBI

"FBI Director: extremely careless but no charges recommended". What is that?! Who has ever been caught with such acts against them and not charged? Even Martha Stewart was charged for crying out loud! In some ways, this is rational, but in 99.9% of it it is absolutely not. Obviously James Comey values his life too much and fears extreme social suicide - hey, just like Mean Girls! Regina George anyone?

While Secretary of State, Clinton used her private email server to send emails to foreign intruders. These were over 300 emails, people! "Comey's decision not to recommend charges likely removes the threat of prosecution in the middle of Clinton's campaign for the presidency, but the political fallout will continue." (www.cnn.com)

While this all goes on, Obama stands and praises Hillary's work and her actions just so he does not have to stand with Trump. How is she fit to be President of the United States? How is Obama? This was not a mistake. She knew what she was doing. THERE WERE 300 EMAILS. She did not learn her lesson and this is evident in her actions of acting like she is nothing but untouchable. The matter is not resolved like previously stated. The American people are not happy and if we are lucky, the only thing we can do is hope and pray that the American people remember the huge injustice that happened while at the polls in November.

10. Pokémon Go

Oh, Pokémon Go. From dead people, saving dogs, getting hit by cars, crashing into things behind the wheel - it seems like there is nothing that this app has not accomplished in its short two weeks of being on this Earth. This app has seen both negatives and positives. From getting kids off couches to being completely time consuming, there is nothing that people will not find a reason to complain about.

It's getting kids off the couch and forcing them to make friends - something that Michelle Obama has been trying to do for 8 years and failed miserably at in comparison to this game. Stop complaining, people, download the app and try it. You know what they say, never knock something until you actually try it!

*Writer's Note: This game is extremely addicting and fun! The server crashes too much and it logs you out with no password to enter, but when it's working right, it sure is a ton of fun for people of all ages!*

11. Death of Garry Marshall

Ladies and gentleman (mostly ladies), the man who brought you great classics like The Princess Diaries and Pretty Women has died. On July 19 he passed away due to complications by pneumonia after having a stroke in the hospital at the age of 81. "He just finished a rewrite for a Broadway-bound musical version of "Pretty Woman," Bega said."

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, nurse Barbara Sue Marshall, two sisters, three children, and six grandchildren. Many stars have gone to social media to share their sympathies and stories and post about what a great man he was. He is gone but not forgotten.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the man who brought us such great movies

12. Terror Attack of Nice, France
At least 80 people were killed on Bastille Day in Nice, France on July 14. A truck drove into the crowd swerving back and forth hitting both adults and children. Weapons and grenades were found inside of the truck that the driver occupied. In response to the driver, police shot and killed the driver of the truck. The man also opened fire on the crowd with ten of the casualties being children and teenagers.

Many children were unable to be recognized because they were separated from their families. People seemed to be trampled some witnesses reported. People were reportedly running and screaming in extreme panic and terror as expected.

Thoughts and prayers to all the families and friends to the victims affected by this terrible tragedy.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads.
