“Everything happens for a reason”
What a simple, yet supposedly explainable reason for why things happen to us.
I find this little saying to be, most of the time, irrelevant.
We are all constantly trying to understand why, right?
As humans we are always wanting a reason for the things that happen to us, the bad things.
The things we cannot comprehend, the things we think about so often and so deeply end up having no actual explanation other than, it happened.
We cannot help how often and thoroughly we scrutinize situations that occur in our lives.
None of us want to believe that shit just happens to us, things we cannot control and we refuse to accept this because of how hopeful we want to be.
The hope we need to get through the day sometimes.
If we keep convincing ourselves there is an underlying reasoning for every phenomenon we will always be waiting for that reason, but we will only be provided with disappointment from this assumption.
Every qualm or unfortunate event that occurs in your life does not have a reason.
Stop digging for one.
When you lie awake in your bed questioning everything about your existence and why sometimes you feel as if the world is against you and God is not on your side, you feel yourself breathing deeply and not finding any logical reason.
It is because sometimes there isn’t one.
Sometimes you just receive the short end of the stick.
You luck out.
You miss the deadline.
You messed up.
People are mean.
It could’ve gone better.
He left and he’s not coming back.
Why me.
These things happen. Just because. No rhyme or reason.
The world may work in odd ways and isn’t always cruel but the world is also full of oblivion.
It doesn’t have to be scary, you can take this as a way to move on in the most raw way a person can.
Hard truth. Honest truth. Acceptance.
Shitty things happen but your heart doesn’t stop beating.Don't look back, you're not going that way. You're moving forward.
