An Open Letter To My Group Chat

A group chat is something that everyone is bound to be in. Everyone in the group chat knows that it's a blessing to be in... Even when you wake up to 200 messages. I never can share with my group chat all that they do for me.

Thank you for draining my phone battery. Thank you for making my phone die by noon because you are trying to figure who to get lunch with.

Thank you for making it easy to share my stories. I don't know what I would do if I had to actually text every single one of you separately to share secrets

Thank you for adding me back to the chat when I get angry and leave. Thank you for loving me even when I am frustrated and choose to leave group chat. Even though I'm mad I keep getting added back.

Thank you for overanalyzing my text message screenshots. If it wasn't for you I would not overthink every message I have ever received.

Thank you for being my escape. Thank you for helping me escape awkward situations by letting me text you a play by play of the awkward situation that I am in.

Thank you for sending endless memes. Thank you for sending me memes of every stupid little thing that somewhat goes along with the situation we are having.

Thank you for being my built in therapist. Thank you for giving me advice about boys, college, life and basically everything else in the world.

Thank you for always giving me something to do. Thank you for always being down to go on random adventures with me.

Most importantly, thank you for being my best friends.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
