Why Everyone Needs To Watch 'Stranger Things'

Maybe a few weeks ago, I started a little new show on Netflix called "Stranger Things." I haven't been a big Netflix-er all summer because #busy, but I saw a lot of hype for this Netflix Original. I watched the first episode and really liked it... But then forgot about it. About a week ago at work, someone's change was $11 and suddenly I immediately thought of the character, Eleven. The next day, I finally watched the second episode and ended up finishing the whole series. Granted there are only eight episodes, but they are about an hour long, so that's seven hours staring at my screen.

Let me tell you about this show. It's like "X-Files" meets "The Twilight Zone" meets "Freaks & Geeks," and I love all three so this show was right up my ally.

The characters and character development are incredible. To watch these kids and adults grow on screen (emotionally because it's only over a course of maybe a week) is great to watch.

The actors are so good at what they do and I already follow most of them on Instagram because why wouldn't I? My personal favs are the boy who plays Dustin and the man who plays Steve, wink wink.

The music and costuming is amazing. I love period productions and "Stranger Things" is set in 1983, so you get the feathered hair and solid 80s jams.

The special effects are a wow factor. Being a sci-fi thriller, it's GOT to have awesome special effects.

The scene work is flawless. Every shot is a great shot. My personal favorite is the whole sequencing of Joyce and her obsession with lights. I thought the whole alphabet thing was so so cool.

The writers are killing the game without killing off characters (well... R.I.P. ****).

In conclusion, you needed to watch "Stranger Things" like, yesterday.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
