I'm going to take this time to completely and explicitly brag about how amazing my mom is. I don't show my appreciation for my mom as much as I should. She is superman, batman, and the hulk all built into one. She is literally super mom, and I admire her for it. Mama Linda is a shoulder to cry on, a warm hug after a long day, a home cooked meal after months away at college, a best friend to steal clothes from, and a belly laugh after an argument. This women is my person, and I could never ever express through words how much she means to mean. So whatever you do, try to find a Mama Linda, you won't regret it.

1. Endless Love.

Every morning, without a doubt I wake up and check my phone for a good-morning text from Mama Linda. This puts a smile on my face and gives me positive vibes to get through the day. It reminds me how much she truly cares, and she's always thinking about me, even while I'm away at school. Of course, I can't forget to mention her endless hugs. Without a doubt Mama Linda will hug you, even if you run and say no, she'll find you. But honestly they're the best hugs ever, and they're exactly what I look forward to when I get home.

2. Important advice.

As much as I hate to admit this one, Mama Linda is always right when it comes to her advice. Between boy issues, school, stress, friends, Mama Linda knows all. I wish I listened to her more because I could've saved myself from a lot of heart ache, and a lot of sleepless nights. Now that I'm away at school I text her almost everyday asking a million and one questions because lets me honest, adulting is hard shit. And I can't do it alone.

3. Built in best friend.

I love spending my lazy days with Mama Linda. We kick back, drink some tea, and binge watch every Hallmark movie that's ever been made. I love shopping trips with Mama Linda, we can both spend a ton of money in Target and console each other afterwards. Oh and she's the best Starbucks date, or gelato date. Wherever or whatever you want to do, Mama Linda is the best friend ready to go. And she'll always hype you up on your instagram selfies!

4. The perfect role model.

I would not be the woman I am today if I didn't follow Mama Linda in her footsteps. From her job, to family, to working out, to cuddling Finn, she's always on the go, and she's always doing something for other's. Mama Linda is the kindest, most compassionate, caring, loving, supportive, and motivated person I know. There's never a moment she's not doing something, and I admire her for her endless energy. I hope one day I am a half as good mother as she is.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
