Every college student should take a trip somewhere for their spring break. After the beginning of a new semester we all hit the midterm sorrows. We are all stressed and worn out. Spring break is a time for us to get away from reality and relax for a while. When we get away we don't have to think about school or work. All we have to think about is what the weather will be like on the beach. For this week or so the only person you have to worry about is yourself. This can be a breath of fresh air for most of us!

Spring break is a time to be with friends or family and make the best of the time we have off. Think of it like a vacation from school where you shouldn't be worrying about assignments or tests. Doesn't that sound great? Wanna know what sounds even greater? Being on a beach, in the warm sun, with the sand on your feet. Yes, that sounds amazing! You can't tell me that you wouldn't love that.

Many students book trips in groups which makes it super fun because you are going somewhere with a bunch of friends, making tons of new memories. Each year there are always spring break destinations in the United States. Can you say road trip here we come? Driving can be longer than flying, but can definitely be more rewarding in the long run. You make more memories and create new experiences. Being in a car with people for hours upon hours really gives you a sense of who they are. Figuring out an airport can also bring new memories to a friendship. Traveling with friends can create bonds that last forever.

As broke college student it may seem impossible to pay for a spring break vacation. Asking your parents for a little help never hurts and start saving ahead of time. You can always use that extra financial aid too. No matter the amount of money you spend on spring break just remember that the memories are truly priceless. You won't get these chances every year and you need to take these opportunities when you can because they will bring you great times and even better memories.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
