Why Everyone Should Do An Escape Room Experience

Really, you won't regret it.

Why Everyone Should Do An Escape Room Experience

1.It’s a lot of fun

This one might seem pretty obvious but it's true! An escape room experience should be, and will be, a lot of fun. It requires using common sense, as well as, thinking outside of the box. Having the time constraint really makes you work harder and induces a level of panicky-fun anxiety.

2.It’s a great team building exercise

This will show you who is the “group leader” and who is the “follower” of the group. It may come as a bit of a shock when multiple leaders emerge at once, just go with it. This experience will allow everyone to work together and try to reach one common goal.

3.It will lead to jokes you can crack for months, even years to come.

Maybe your group will get stuck with some random people that weren’t quite what you were expecting. Maybe your own group members will pull some weird stuff that will make you utterly confused. The things that are said and done under a time constraint can lead to some doubling over in laughter stories when you see that group again.

4.It’s something different to do on a weekend that doesn’t involve either partying or sitting at home.

It may not come as a shock that every weekend rolls around and the options are go out to a party, or sit at home and watch movies. Not many people want to do much else. This is a nice change of pace and will allow you to have good clean fun.

5.It will lead to a good, long lasting memory.

No matter if you “escape” or not, the experience will always be one you look back upon. It will be something to laugh and boast about, or laugh and not be too proud of. Nevertheless, you will laugh at your memories often, and remember the experience forever.

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

Here are five things everyone should learn in order to be a better friend to themselves. These steps are hard, but they're so worth it.

We all have a love hate relationship with winter, lets be real here. The snow makes people forget how to drive, its cold, the roads are bad, and chances are, you will be spending a lot more money than you do during the other months of the year. If you’re from the Midwest, it seems to be that winter lasts for what feels like forever. But despite the struggles that winter brings, there are so many things to love about it.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.
