Disney Parks

A Disney vacation is a must and there are so many reasons why!

The Attractions

From Peter Pan to Tower of Terror, there is a ride for anyone. Disney has some of the best rides. They cover such a wide range of interests and ages that everyone who walks in there will find something they will enjoy. The roller coasters are thrilling and the classics are just plain fun! There are also attractions for the more adventurous type like Wilderness Explorer and safaris of all kinds! No one in the party will ever be bored while at Disney World.

The Entertainments

When Disney puts on a show they put on a show. Their musicals like Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast are fantastic. The parades like the Electric Parade are energizing and fun, and of course, their fireworks are truly amazing! The only way to describe shows like Fantasmic and Illuminations are magic. There are so many shows to see that no one will ever get bored. Of course, there is also plenty of characters to meet, street entertainment, parades and special events! Disney leads in the entertainment world and that really shows when vacationing at Disney World.

The Food

The food is amazing and Disney just doesn't have one kind. From breakfast to dinner to just snacking, there is always something great to eat. They have the best ice cream and Mickey waffles are to die for! The restaurants range from quick service dining to character and casual dining to themed and fine dining—there are many options to choose from. There are even dessert parties for those who have sweet tooth and places that sell snacks like ice cream, pretzels and popcorns.

The Hotels

The hotels are amazing and there's one for every kind of family and any budget. There are cheaper hotels called the values, more expensive hotels like the deluxe hotels and even ones in the middle. Every hotel is unique and special! They are all themed and fun for everyone! Staying on property also gives you benefits like time in the park and bus services so you don’t even need a car. They all house some amazing places to eat like quick service restaurants where you can get tie-dye cheesecake (Pop Century Resort) and table service restaurants where you dine with Stitch and his friends (The Polynesian Resort). You can never go wrong with a Disney Hotel!

It’s the Happiest Place on Earth!

As soon as you step onto Disney property it’s like you stepped into another world. The cast members (workers) are the best and are really nice and helpful. It’s the best place to celebrate just about anything from birthdays to graduations to anniversaries. You can even get married in Disney! It’s not just about the rides and shows, it’s about being with friends and family. Making memories, taking pictures and having fun together is the best part of any Disney vacation.

It is truly “the happiest place on Earth!”

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows.
