It is totally normal to be scared to leave your comfort zone, everyone is nervous of the unknown.

However, at some point, you must learn to be okay entering a situation not fully knowing the outcome. In life, so many people say no to opportunities solely because they are not fully comfortable with the thought of it.

It only takes one time of saying yes to change your whole mindset on a situation.

Saying yes is so important to create new memories and accomplish things you never knew you could. No one has ever made a difference from never allowing their self to venture into the world of unanswered questions. It never hurts to just trying something new. There are so many reasons not to, but the possible outcome of finding a new passion, learning a lesson and forming a bond with new people, outweigh all of them. I understand it is scary, but it is necessary to take a risk. If someone asks you to hang out and you would rather lay in bed, just say yes! If someone asks you to go on a weekend getaway even though you have never been to the destination, say yes! For all you know, that could end up being the funniest memory you ever create. Do not allow yourself to sit on the sidelines and watch your peers grow into a new person simply from trying new things. Remember, it is just as scary for everyone else to try new things, but they all end up okay – and you will too.

If you take a chance and things don’t go smoothly, it is a lesson that you can grow from.

There is so much the world has to offer if you are willing to accept it, learn about it and try it. Each person only has so much time in their lives to change their self, so do it while you can. Don't be so quick to shut an idea down the second you hear about it. We are growing up in an age where the world is at our fingertips and we must take advantage of the opportunities that come with that. With that being say, learn to be okay with doing things you normally would be opposed to, try something new every single day, no matter how small it may seem. Allow yourself to be okay with not knowing the outcome of a situation, but still saying yes to it.

Change is inevitable in everyone's lives, but how we deal with it all varies.

Be the person that embraces it with open arms and goes with it. Use the unknownto find new hobbies in your life that you would normally never expect to do. Start to say yes and you will benefit in so many ways.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

two women enjoying confetti

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.
