Why Everyone Needs To Read "Love Does"
Anything Brilliant

Recently I've found myself having a lot of conversations with my friends regarding their relationships or break-ups and every time that I do, one thing comes to my mind - the book "Love Does". About three years ago I read a book that changed my perspective on relationships and life in general. It told stories of love and God's grace and faithfulness and made me realize that there is so much more to life and relationships than we even think.

When my friends and I talk about relationships it most likely has to do with something negative that's happening. We complain about not getting enough attention or interpreting a message in a way that we shouldn't have. We often find things wrong with something that's not and then dwell on it until it drives us mad. But something that has been popping into my mind lately during these conversations is the words of Bob Goff in his New York Times Best Seller "Love Does".

In this book, he tells stories of how he met and pursued his wife, stories of God's faithfulness and Grace and more. But the best part is how he relates each story back to the bible and ways in which you can incorporate these practices into your life.

Since reading this book I have kept his words in my mind when it comes to relationships. It showed me what a man that is pursuing God looks like and that you shouldn't settle for anything less than that. When I've had to have conversations with my friends about our relationships, I've used this book to find answers and hope. It cheers me up and gives me a light to look towards when I start to question if I'll ever find the one he has for me.

"Love Does" is so much more than just a good read. It's a book that changes the way you look at people and love. It teaches you to love all people to the best of your ability because if you do so, you gain so much out of it. If you're looking for answers or hope when struggling with loving others and them loving you, pick up this book and I promise you that it will change things for you.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
