What Every Girl Does During Fall

There is a huge stigma to the term "basic white girl," but the truth is every girl does the same thing when it's fall. We go the same places, eat the same foods, wear the same things, etc. With that being said, here are a few of the things that all girls do during the fall season.

1. All girls go to a sunflower field.

No matter how many times you avoid going on Instagram to see fifteen pictures in a row of sunflower fields, it is inevitable. Most girls have a picture of themselves next to a sunflower, or with their BFF in a whole field of them. Whether they are jumping, sorority squatting, or have their left hand on their hip and leg popped out, you will see the pictures. Just start preparing.

2. Go to a pumpkin patch.

Pretty much the same idea as the sunflower field... It's inevitable that a girl will go to a pumpkin patch.

3. Tweet the same exact things.

Some of these tweets may include, "perfect bonfire and cuddling season." Insert fall leaf emoji, heart emoji, pumpkin emoji and whatever other fall emojis there are. Another example is something along the lines of, "apple cider, bonfires, flannels, leggings, Uggs, and snugs!" Basically just a list of anything that reminds you of fall whatsoever. Then there are the infamous Halloween tweets. The ones where a girl is secretly trying to get a guy to take her to a haunted house. Either way, we all have at least one basic tweet...and it probably involves pumpkin spice.

4. ...and on that note, Pumpkin Spice everything!

Lattes, candles, cream cheese, bread, hot chocolate, muffins, basically anything you can think of becomes some type of pumpkin spice. PSL is actually defined now in Urban Dictionary.

5. North Faces and yogas galore.

It might seem like this is just the basic white girl stigma again, but no. Every girl wears yoga pants. They actually transform from athletic wear to formal wear with the help of knee high boots, one nice scarf, and a cardigan. Not to mention a North Face to top it all off!

6. Leaf changing pictures

It's that time of year! The leaves change, and even if you don't notice it yourself, you'll begin to over social media!

7. Bean Boots

For some reason, all girls have bean boots. I don't understand it. But hey, whatever works!

No matter what, you can't avoid the all-around basic season that is fall. Just turn it into something fun, like an Instagram drinking game where you take a shot for every sunflower, and get ready to cure your hangover!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
