Sometimes you need to improvise.

Every College Students' Guilty Pleasure

In college, you have to make things work. You're not at home anymore with your parents helping you all the time with simple things. Therefore, college students have to become creative in order to survive the "almost" real world.

1. Sleeping in as late as you possibly can

Class isn't until 9? you have until 8:55 to sleep in, you'll make it on time.

2. Repeating outfits

That's what's so great about have MWF classes and TTH classes. The people in you Tuesday classes have no idea you wore that outfit yesterday to your Monday classes.

3. And also re-wearing clothes before washing them

Let's be honest, you don't even remember the last time you washed those sweatpants or that sweatshirt.

4. Constantly going out to eat

Every college town has a ton of different fast food restaurants to eat at, and it's great to get away from the dining hall food every once in a while.

5. Binge watching Netflix series

Grey's, Shameless, American Horror Story, Bates Motel... The list is endless.

6. Buying things at the Campus Store

College merchandise is so thrilling to buy, plus they are always so comfy.

7. Stealing cups and forks from the Dining Hall

Now you'll never have to worry about eating your leftovers with a plastic fork.

8. Drinking ridiculous amounts of coffee

Coffee for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then all the ties in between.

9. Procrastinating like pros

"I'll do my project today... Maybe tomorrow..."

10. Buying more and more sweatpants to wear to class

The best way to get through class is being comfy while doing it.

11. And also wearing cabin socks and slippers to class

This is probably the best duo/combination in the world, there's no debate about it.

12. Listening to throwback songs while studying

It's 2017, but we are all still jamming out to songs that are almost 20 years old.

13. Easy Mac'n'Cheese

Closest things to gold we can get.

14. The Dominoes that's open until 3 am

We should all dedicate a part of our lives to the faithful dominoes delivery guys that show up to our dorms at 2:45 in the morning just to bring us a pasta bread bowl.

Living in college can definitely be easy as long as you make the most of what you have. Getting away with things is easily if you just improvise a little bit.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
