The year is 1908 in America, and the Chicago Cubs have just won the Major League Baseball World Series making them the first ever professional baseball team to compete in three consecutive World Series Championship baseball games.

7. The U.S. population is just shy of 89-million and the proud U.S.A. Flag has merely 45 stars within her blue stitching that depict official American States.

8. Eggs are $0.14 cents per dozen, First-Class Postage stamps are $0.02 cents a piece, Sugar is a mere $0.04 cents a pound, and Coffee only $0.15 cents a pound following suit.

9. A ridiculous 7.1-magnitude Earthquake annihilates Sicily and Calabria, Italy. Exactly 12-minutes later a massive 39-foot-tall Tsunami follows. 75-200-thousand Italians lose their lives.

18. Wilbur Wright, one of the Wright Brothers, conducts his first public flight demonstration over the Hunaudieres horse racing track in Le Mans, France. The flight lasted only 1-minute and 45-seconds.

19. Henry Pu Yi, of the Manchu Aisin Gioro Dynasty becomes the new Emperor of China. He was only 2-years old at the time.

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.
