11 Things To Do In Grand Forks Halloween Week

11 Things To Do In Grand Forks Halloween Week

Although Grand Forks may not be the biggest/ most exciting city in the world, there are actually lots of fun events going on during Halloween that most people probably don't know about. Whether you are a student or a parent looking for something to take your family to, I'm sure one of these events listed below will strike some interest for you. There are things going on all throughout the week, not just the weekend!

Tuesday, October 27th:

Black Cat Bash! From 5-8pm the First Season Community Center is hosting crafts, stories, and games for children/families. This is a cost free event, but they ask that you bring at least one food shelf item for them to donate.

Story Time at Campbell Library: This is a FREE event which starts at 10am and is aimed toward children. There will be stories, crafting, and dancing.

Tuesday, October 27th and Wednesday October 28th:

Canada Inns Tower of Terror: This event is from 7-10pm and is located at Canada Inns destination center. There will be a cupcake walk, trick or treating and games, and your choice of the "kid friendly floor" or the "scary floor'! Admission will be $5 and children under age 2 get in free.

Thursday, October 29th:

Drop in and Knit: This event is located at the Grand Forks public library and starts at noon! You can come in and learn how to knit or teach others your knitting skills! This is a good event aimed toward students and adults.

Thursday Cruz Night: This is a FREE event hosted in the Culvers parking lot on 32nd ave! It is from 6:30-9:00pm and it sponsored by the Northern Cruz Car Club. The parking lot will be filled with dozens of classic/cool cars.

University of North Dakota Women's Hockey game: This will be happening at the Ralph Engelstad Arena at 7:07 pm. Come cheer on your women's hockey team as they play against Minnesota!

University of North Dakota Women's Volleyball game: For all you volleyball fans out there, the UND women volleyball team will be playing Sacramento State at 7:00pm at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center!

Friday, October 30th:

Bel Canto Says BOO!: A cabaret fun raiser for the Fire Hall Theatre featuring Maria Williams vocal students will be singing some spooky numbers! The tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Come support these talented singers! Starts at 7:00pm.

Ramp Up Yoga: From 6:30-7:30pm, Marissa Mihelich will be hosting a yoga session on 21 Conkclin Avenue in Grand Forks. It costs $5 and you will need your own mat! A message from Marissa: "Join me on the top of Grand Forks! We can't get much higher than this! The ultimate yoga experience and best view for Friday night sunsets, this session will bring so much! A spectacular view above the trees and under open sky, to free your mind, ignite and elevate your spirit! A way to release from the week and a start to a stellar weekend!"

Trick or Treat at SCHEELS: This is a FREE event from 5:00-7:00pm at the Scheels store in Grand Forks. Come wearing a costume and you will receive free candy from the Scheels staff! There will be games and photo opportunities throughout the whole store.

Saturday October 31st:

Delta Upsilon Haunted House: From 7:30-11:00pm the Delta Upsilon Fraternity house is hosting their Annual haunted house. After 8:30 they up the scariness of the haunted house for a more mature audience. It will cost $5 and proceeds go toward their philanthropy.
