Eufy’s Smart Lock Makes Keys A Thing of the Past

The thought that immediately runs through my head after leaving the house is "did I lock the door?" Thanks to Eufy's latest BHMA certified smart lock built to last up to 250 thousand locks and unlocks, I don't have to worry about that thought anymore. With a sleek, stylish, and durable design, it's built tough to last through cold winters, hot summers, and heavy downfall that may occur with its IP65 waterproof rating.

Everything has been thought of on how to build the best smart lock, from its advanced and reliable fingerprint identification to its built-in bank-grade security chip to keep all fingerprints and data private.

Setting up the lock itself is straightforward and takes no more than twenty minutes. What I love especially about Eufy and its products is how simple they try to make it for the user, and the smart lock is no exception. Everything is picture coordinated and labeled step-by-step along with the manual. The only additional piece of equipment I needed was simply a screwdriver. Four AA batteries are included and last around a year before they need to be replaced. In case of an emergency, you can use a portable charger to power the lock if the batteries in the device run out.

The door can lock and unlock in a variety of ways. The first is through its fingerprint identification system. It locks faster than you can grab your keys in an astounding 0.3 seconds and can store up to fifty fingerprints. The second way is through the user's custom numerical code via the keypad, which lights up when tapped in low-light situations. The final ways are through its app via Bluetooth and through one of five included physical keys.

My favorite feature of this lock is the auto-lock feature which works similarly as a hotel door would function. When turned on via the app, the built-in geomagnetic sensors detect exactly when the door is closed, and will instantly lock behind you. This was extremely helpful when leaving the house in a hurry. It gave me peace of mind knowing that the door was locked no matter the circumstances.

I tested out the lock and my expectations were met. Using my fingerprint to unlock the door was quick, easy, and efficient. Locking and unlocking the door via the keypad and application is simple and just as fast and easy as using the fingerprint lock. My only small complaint with this lock is that it is not Wifi-compatible, meaning that I cannot remotely check to see if the door is locked or unlocked or remotely let someone in the door without being in Bluetooth proximity of the device. However, the auto-lock feature exceeded my expectations and is top of its class.

With an affordable price point of less than $300, strong and sturdy durability, and reliable fingerprint recognition, the Eufy Smart lock protects your home and privacy efficiently. 9/10

Eufy's Smart Lock is available for purchase on Eufy's website and Amazon.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate.
