Erections Get Insurance, So Why Not the Pill?

No matter what, it all goes back to sex.

Erections Get Insurance, So Why Not the Pill?

Being a woman has always been more expensive than being a man, from bra and periods... to engaging in active sex lives? While both sexes enjoy the act of engaging in sex, and while it's both completely normal, men still get the upper hand.

Women have to pay for birth control, while Viagra, which helps give men erections, is covered by insurance.

Birth control is an important tool that helps a woman stay safe during sex, and now, if a woman wants to have sex and use birth control, it has to come out of her own paycheck.

Apparently Viagra is covered because it is a medical condition, while birth control is a lifestyle choice. While birth control's primary use is to protect women from getting pregnant, birth control also has many different medical uses, and many women, and even young girls, use birth control to reap its benefits. Birth control can help with dysmenorrhea (abnormally painful periods), it can help regulate periods, and it even decreases the risk of colorectal, ovarian and endometrial cancers.

It seems to be nonnegotiable when it comes to a man's desire to get an erection, but as soon as it comes to a woman, and the ways in which she wants to go about her sex life, or even just her health, there's a problem.

Regardless, if a man's desire to improve his sex life can be covered under insurance, then a woman's desire to enjoy her sex life without worry of getting pregnant should be covered by insurance too, whether she gains from the health benefits or not. After all, a girl's boyfriend won't be the one paying up to fifty dollars a month for birth control.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
