Everyone is unique in their own special way, but not a lot of people believe that. I believe that everyone should be treated equally since we are all different in our own ways. Sadly, that is not the case in society today as we know it.

Equality is defined as "the state or quality of being equal" (Dictionary.com). Many years ago, women and men were treated unequal so women had to fight for their own rights. Women were depicted as weak so they were the ones who stayed home and performed all the chores while watching the children. Presently in society, there are still some women who are treated unequally.

Individuals are often judged by their gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity, or appearance. Eventually, people begin to underestimate their capabilities based off of what others say because they begin to believe the judgments being said.

The world may be cruel but we can not let the negative vibes effect us. Equality as a whole will make this country strong again.
