''Gerald, how do you feel?'' asked Dr. Davidson. ''Nothing unusual, but this is good. I think we are at least coming to understand a way to combat this disease.'' said Dr. Gerald. The two doctors waited in their laboratory, with Gerald under vitals monitoring. All of the vital statistics seemed normal; his blood pressure was stable, temperature was steady, and was not sweating at all. The two continued to just monitor for the rest of the day. ''Get some rest, my friend, we have been awake for quite some time, I think if anything was going to kill me, it would have already. I have a very good feeling about the vaccine.'' said Dr. Gerald.

Davidson refused to leave Gerald's side on the monitoring station. The two of them were highly determined to finding the cure to the XY-7 virus. Both doctors remained in the quarantine lab for four days straight. They supplied themselves with enough food to last two weeks, but Gerald did not think that was necessary; he was starting to believe that the cure was a success. ''There has been absolutely no change in my vitals, take a sample of my blood! I want to see if the white blood cell count is still stable.'' he ordered to Davidson.

Davidson tested the sample of Gerald's blood to find no difference in his white blood cell count. Both were surprised, but Davidson was not convinced this was an immediate cure. ''Sir, I really would not trust this test, maybe we need to wait a few more days to see if any effect would come.'' said Davidson. ''And risk losing the only opportunity to save humanity?! I will cure this disease and stop this epidemic before it begins, I know this will just be a slaughter on humanity if this does not happen.'' said Gerald angrily. Dr. Gerald ordered that the testing stopped and begin production of the vaccine immediately. Hesitantly, Davidson followed his orders and forced himself to accept the decision made to produce more of the vaccine.

Two more days pass and there still have been no symptoms of the XY-7 virus in Dr. Gerald; at this point, the two doctors are now convinced they found the cure to the disease and celebrate.''Come over tonight, Denise and I would love to have a celebratory dinner on our successful work'' said Gerald. Davidson agreed to come over and celebrate.

Later that evening, the two doctors had ate and drank the night away; they were so thrilled to have finally discovered a cure to a terrible disease, it was unbelievable, so they thought. Dr. Davidson managed to get a taxi back home; Gerald and his wife proceeded to celebrate on their own time about his discovery.

Everything changed later that week. On Wednesday morning, Dr. Gerald woke up to a severe increase to his temperature. He knew this meant bad news, so he immediately called Dr. Davidson to meet him at the laboratory and run tests. Both of them knew this was not a good sign. The situation was getting worse by the minute, as Dr. Gerald was exiting his house, he coughed up blood. he became anxious and realized that this might be the end for him. He didn't even wake up his wife, Denise, because of how scared he was to make it to the laboratory. Dr. Gerald managed to drive his way to the lab, but it was only a matter of time. Dr. Davidson hooked him up to a monitor and took samples of his blood, this was the time to see what was happening to him.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
