The End Of The Year, As Told By Ariana Grande Songs

In This Article:

Ariana Grande has always been a goddess, but with many people's recent obsession with her, what better way to reflect on this past year than to use Ariana's most famous songs? She may live a very different life from us, but her songs will forever be relatable.

1. "Thank u, next"

No matter if you had a great 2018 or a horrible one, I'm sure we're all ready to see what 2019 has in store for us. Thanks to 2018 for teaching us new things, but 2019, we're ready for you.

2. Just keep "breathin"

The end of the year can be stressful, especially when finishing up final exams and projects, but you just gotta keep breathing. As cliché as that sounds, it holds very true. Take a deep breath because you got this.

3. I got one less "problem" without ya

Once your holiday shopping and final exams are over, believe me, you'll have one less problem to worry about. Whatever is stressing you out now will soon be in the distant past, don't worry.

4. I'm stronger than I've been before ("Break Free")

I don't know about you, but 2018 has most definitely been a year of learning for me. From school to my social life, I've learned a lot in ways that I never expected, and I'm way stronger than I was going into this year.

5. Baby you just gotta make up your mind ("Be Alright")

Going into 2019, it's always good to have a focus for your year. Whatever it is, making up your mind about what you want to work on in the coming year is sure to help you grow more than you expect.

6. It feels so good to be so young and have this fun and be "successful"

For those of us that 2018 has been extra kind to, you can probably relate to this song extremely well. It feels so good when you're having fun and are successful at the same time. If this wasn't really you this year, that's okay because next year can be your year.

7. I'm in a state of mind I wanna be in like all the time ("no tears left to cry")

The new year brings on a totally new mindset, usually one that consists of us being happy and healthy. We're all working toward a state of mind that we want to be in all the time, and although it is hard, it is achievable.

8. "Santa tell me" if you're really there

With Christmas coming around, of course those of us that celebrate are in a very Christmas-y mood. The kids are ready for their presents from Santa, and I'm excited to listen to this song on repeat.

This past year has been a wild ride for many people, including Ariana Grande herself, but 2019 seems like a very hopeful year. As she said in her thank you speech for Billboard Woman of the Year award, "If you're someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter's gonna bring, you're not alone in that."
