End Of The Semester Thoughts Told By Parks And Recreation

The end of the spring semester is rough. "Parks and Recreation" perfectly describes how we're all feeling.

1. When it's the last week of school and your professor is still "teaching" things.

We already know that this won't be on the exam and you're just rambling on. Just cancel class.

2. When you get to your 8 a.m. class after staying up all night and you have no idea what they're talking about.

I have no idea what you're saying, and honestly, I don't really care.

3. When someone asks you to go to the gym and work out during finals week.

Better than sitting in my room and crying over all I have to do, right?

4. When you get your exam grades back...and they are not what you thought they would be.

I studied for this exam for 6 hours straight... Really?

5. Your professor when they don't "allow" extra credit, but you're only .05 away from an A.

There's really nothing I can do? I'll sing a song in front of the class... Please.

6. When your friends ask you to go to dinner with them and you're broke, but they really want you to go.

Well, might as well enjoy it while I can.

7. When you get to the first question on your final exam.

Did we even learn this? Are you sure?

8. After you take your first exam that you thought you did well on, but nothing you read made any sense.

Nothing matters anymore.

9. When you're halfway through your exams and you're running off little to no sleep.

I don't know what day it is and I'm very, very confused. And tired.

10. When someone asks you what you're going to do with your major.

Don't ask me. I have no idea. Should I know? Yes. Do I have any idea? Absolutely not.

11. When you finish all of your exams and you finally get to go home.

See ya next semester, everyone.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
