Have you ever just thought about life when you're alone? Have you thought about your future or things you would change about your past? If you had to change something what would it be? If you had the chance to know your future, would you find out? Would you live out your story until the very end? Or would you try to change a few chapters in the book of life? Would you be disappointed if the outcome wasn't what you expected?
Would your mental health be affected? Mental health is what makes a person. Mental health is a key part of life and is just as important as physical health. Mental health is what makes us function from day to day.
For example, have you ever experienced a headache or migraine so bad that you just wanted the pain to stop? You took medicine to relieve that pain, then the pain was gone within a few minutes or an hour, right? The pain did go away because pain is temporary.
Now, imagine someone with mental health issues who suffers from depression. They have pain, but a different kind of pain. They have the pain of sadness that is with them that won't go away. The sadness stays with them from day to day — unlike the headache or migraine that went away in a few minutes or an hour.
People who follow through with suicide are trying to get rid of their sadness, but really they just create pain for others.
Take a few minutes and really dig down deep and find reasons why you need to stay. A quote by C.S. Lewis says, "There are far, far better things ahead than what we leave behind." We may not know our future but there is a great future ahead for everyone.
Don't let the negativity of this world let you down. If people are mean to you, forget about them — only worry about your mental state. Just be you, because you are unique, and there is no one on this earth who can replace you. Be you, and don't let anyone judge you for who you are. Keep living each day and remember tomorrow is a new day to keep moving forward.
Your story is not over.
