End of the Semester Treats

We're almost there!!!

The final weeks of the semester are always incredibly stressful, boring, and evil and sometimes there never seems to be an end in sight. You probably forgot what it was like to sleep, socialize, or just try to relax. Don't worry, you're almost there! Here are some end of the semester treats awaiting you that you probably completely forgot about!

Eating Real Food

Remember real food that didn't taste like garbage? Remember what it was like to have a variety of different foods that weren't just burgers, fries, pizza, and pasta from your college dining hall? Guess what, you get to eat real food again! It may only be for a few weeks, but you'll finally resuscitate the taste buds you thought were long gone. Oh, and you'll stop having the shits from the stuff they put in college foods!

Actually Celebrating the Holidays

Oh shit, Christmas is coming up! You had absolutely no time to watch any holiday flicks or listen to Christmas music! To be honest, you probably completely forgot it was the holiday season because colleges don't decorate for shit! I mean yeah, there are those generic holiday lights they put up, but they don't even bother trying to decorate for all of the holidays collectively. Well, once the semester ends you can go crazy watching all of your holiday movies and listening to all of the music and actually feel like a human being again. Hooray for holidays!

Bingeing the Hell Out of TV Shows

Sadly, I can't start re-watching some of my favorite shows until the semester ends, but don't forget, we all get to become vegetables on our couches watching endless amounts of television and having absolutely no responsibilities once it's done! It's like summer break all over again! Damn, I miss having no responsibilities.

Seeing Our Friends From Home

Soon we can actually start seeing some of our other friends from home (assuming they are free) and not annoying the hell out of our college friends. It's good to have some balance, but enough on that; I already wrote too many articles on balancing life.

Actually Going to Other Places Again

When your campus has no town and nothing to do and you have no car, your life is pretty much bound to one little area and you are trapped in a bubble. However, between visiting family and friends for the holidays, hanging out at all of your favorite places, going on some winter vacations, and actually being in your house for a long period of time, you'll feel like a renowned explorer. Look at you having a life outside of school!

Hopefully I got you hyped for your winter break. Again, the end is almost near, so do your best! Now get the hell back to that 8 million page paper!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
