The End Of The Semester, As Told By Spongebob

There are only a few weeks left - we've got this!

39

With the semester ending and all the work piling up, sometimes I just want to drop everything and binge watch SpongeBob Squarepants. Here are struggles told by Spongebob and friends, explaining the end of the semester.

Looking out the window in class when it's so nice outside

If only it was socially acceptable to ask your professor if class could be held outside. If anyone actually asked, the professor would probably laugh and continue teaching.

Trying to talk to a cute boy/girl in your class

You've seen them every week and every time, you still think they're so hot. Come on, make a move.

Getting called on in your 8 a.m. class

I assume that professors don't understand that everyone was probably out yesterday and ignoring their responsibilities.

Staying out later than usual because why not

Just another half hour, then you'll go home. The music is so good and you want to avoid finishing a paper due tomorrow at midnight.

Checking your email and seeing that class is canceled.

Call up everyone you know, its time to lay outside and pretend you don't have a huge pile of work to do.

Waiting for your professor to post the review sheet for the final

Finals mean you'll be able to go home soon. Don't worry; the end is near.

Finally finishing that paper you pushed off for weeks

Put that pencil down, and pick up a spoon for your celebratory ice cream carton. (make a mental note to go to the gym tomorrow)

That 4am freak out about your future

Happens to the best of us, every thing will be okay though! Put down the tissue box and go to bed!

When your friend with a car said they'll take you to Walmart

Little do they know that you've been living on saltine crackers since last Thursday. The struggle is real when you can't make it to the dining hall.

The phone call you get from mom/dad after a Walmart trip

"I'm sorry! The cupcakes just looked so delicious, I knew all of my friends would like them too!"

Wearing slippers to class and not caring what people think

(this one is for my roommate) It becomes more common around campus until the sun comes out, or it's raining. Protect your slippers from the rain, everyone!

Trying to read a whole book in one night before it's due at 8 a.m. the next day

You definitely had all semester to read it but you also definitely procrastinated it. Time to buckle down and read it.

Receiving money from a relative

This means you can buy more ice cream! It reminds you that you're loved, remember to thank them when you're home in the summer

Trying to keep a positive attitude even though you have so much going on

You can do it! Turn that frown upside because you're almost finished.

When all is said and done you're gonna finish this semester and rest up for three months until the next semester beings! There are only a few weeks left - we've got this!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
