Finals season has arrived to campuses everywhere, which means one thing: stressed college students. It doesn't matter if you're stressed about trying to get all As to give yourself that GPA boost to just trying to pass with a good enough C, anyone you ask will agree finals season is not a fun time. As a freshman who is still adjusting to how different and hard college finals are compared to those of high school, I know that, personally anyways, a little encouragement can go a long way. So, here are some of my favorite Bible verses to help when the going gets tough:
1. Luke 12:24
"Consider the ravens: they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!"
2. Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."
3. Deuteronomy 31:8-9
"The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
4. Colossians 3:23-24
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
5. Matthew 6: 25
"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing."
And perhaps my personal favorite:
6. Psalm 46:10
"Be still, and know that I am God."
So no matter what your finals are looking like, stressed or just plain terrified, know that God's got this, but also, You've Got This.
