Going to college is new and exciting, especially if you're going away. Either way you're starting a new chapter of your life that's gonna have new people and new experiences to take full advantage of. Here's some advice i have for you

1. Meet as many people as you can.

Whether its in your classes or on your res hall floor. Just meet people, you never know how each person will impact your life.

2. Utilize campus resources.

There's a lot of resources on campus that are there for you. Use them!

3. Get involved.

I tell this to all new students, whether they are transferring or are a freshman. Getting involved is the best way to make friends on campus and get more comfortable too. There's so many clubs and organizations, from Greek Life to accounting club, it doesn't matter. For me it was Greek Life and I've met so many amazing people that have become some of my best friends.

4. Go to sporting events, you get in for free.

I know that sports aren't everyone's favorite thing but when you go with friends how could you not make the most out of it. Plus going for free is great.

5. Show your school spirit.

Going to the sporting events isn't everyones cup of tea and I get it, but there are other way to show your school spirit than sporting events. There's plays, musicals, and plenty of other events that you can go too.

6. Go to your professors' office hours.

Seriously it helps! Also emailing then helps too! Don't be scared of them I promise they're friendly and want to help.

7. Explore campus.

Explore a campus whether its big or small is fun and helps a lot too. It can help you find all the quick ways to your classes, find where the good food is, and where all the good study spots are.

8. Explore the city that your school is in.

Become familiar with the area around your campus. You could find the best Chinese food restaurant but you won't know unless you explore.

9. Get study groups for your classes.

From chemistry to english, study groups are an amazing thing. They help you actually stay on track and honestly a study group can be with as many people as you want. So if you work better in a small group do that instead of a huge group.

10. Put down your phone and live in the moment!

With the way our society is this is a hard one since we have to snapchat everything. But you know what's better is being there in that moment with your friends and not on your phone. Imagine all the things that you won't miss if you just put your phone down and be fully in the conversation with someone.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
