With the start of college fast approaching, I wanted to share my Top 10 things that I learned during my freshman year. My hope is that people who are coming in don't make the same mistakes I did.
1. If you don't feel 100% comfortable with your major, change it.
2. It doesn't matter who is doing what, just worry about yourself
3. Don't be scared to talk to people and make friends.
4. Don't feel like you have to look nice for class, it doesn't matter and it won't affect your final grade.
5. Most every freshman is as clueless as you are.
6. Try not to pick classes earlier than 9 am.
7. GO TO CLASS!!!
8. If you absolutely dread going to meetings for your extracurricular maybe you should drop it.
9. It's OK not to party every single weekend, college isn't all about partying.
10. Don't be afraid to ask for help; the math and writing centers exist for a reason.
