Read Brightly

" Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" is a script/play that came out on July 31, 2016 -- the birthday of the character we have come to love quite a lot over the years, nine years after the last book came out and 19 years after the original characters left Hogwarts.

As an avid "Potter Head" of the books/movies, I definitely read the newest edition to this story. I also went through my fair share of emotions while reading. I don't think there's a better way to describe these emotions than by using Harry Potter gifs!

So, without further ado, here are the emotions every "Potter Head" goes through while reading "The Cursed Child."

1. Anticipation

What is going to happen in this play? Will it be good; will it do justice? What will happen?

2. Excitement

OMG OMG OMG it's here! I'm reading this and it's here! Nine years of waiting, and the crew is back!

3. Nostalgia

Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny and so many others. Wow, they're all back, and it's like I'm a kid again!

4. Tears

Wait, Snape and Dumbledore (through his painting) are in this? This is not OK! Alan Rickman is gone; Snape can't be back. And why didn't Fred or Sirius make an appearance? Harry sees Lily and James (his parents, not his kid). I am not OK with this. Not. OK.

5. Confusion

What is happening? Did their travel change what was supposed to happen? Why aren't Ron and Hermione married? Wait, who really is "Delphi?" Why is she so secretive? Wait, she's Voldemort's freaking daughter?! Are you kidding me? Who knew Bella and the Dark Lord had a thing?

6. Anger

Harry, will you please stop talking to Dumbledore? It isn't real! He can't actually talk to you the way you think he can. And wait, why doesn't Albus like his father? Harry would literally give his life for his son. OK, OK, I know he has pressure on him. I guess I understand.

7. Jealousy

I want to be in London watching this play right now. All these people are smiling and laughing and crying watching this play, and I'm in America just simply reading the script.

8. Laughter

LOL, Delphi, you thought you had the greatest wizarding crew of all time, didn't you? Well, you're one funny gal if you thing you're going to stop the Harry Potter and his crew!

9. More tears

Albus and Harry have a moment together. Albus now knows how much his dad loves him. Harry has never felt more joy, and I haven't ever felt more moved. I could't help but cry... literally. I mean, the story is over now; my favorite childhood story has concluded.

10. Approval

If Snape approves, we have no choice, am I right? I definitely approve of this story and thank J.K. Rowling for allowing us to read it!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
