Everybody loves the things you do, Adele.
Not many artists could stop a Grammy performance halfway through and make it out of the social webs unscathed, but Queen Adele pulled it off with every ounce of grace in her body. OK, plus a curse word or two.
The star-studded night appreciated Adele's honesty, with Ellen DeGeneres tweeting ".@Adele, you get every do over you ever need. Ever. #Grammys" and Chrissy Teigen tweeting, "Major major .@Adele respects. Shit happens when you actually sing live. She was incredible". These two tweets encapsulated, I believe, the entire world's feelings toward Adele's poised performance.
This isn't the first time that Adele has had sound problems during a live performance, and it probably won't be the last. But this happens because not only are Adele's songs increasingly difficult to perform, but because she actually performs live.
Adele's performance teaches us more than respect for George Michael, who would have been proud of the emotional tribute, but also emphasizes the fact that everyone makes mistakes.
And as we all know... regrets and mistakes they are memories made.
Complete love and props to Adele.
