Some people love winter, others summer, but my favorite season is Awards Season -- specifically the fashion. The Emmys, which aired this past, Sunday was no exception. I would choose some of those jaw-dropping haute couture gown over changing leaves any day of the week. Every year, I tune into some of my favorite fashion television shows to see what my favorite fashionistas also thought of that year's looks. Now I have the opportunity to share my own personal favorites. After scrolling through pages upon pages of fashion-forward starlets, I was able to narrow down the looks to my preferred elite. In no particular order, here's my list of the 2016 Emmy Award's best dressed.
1. Maisie Williams
Maisie Williams always knocks it out of the park with her style, and the Emmy's were no exception. Her tea-length Markus Lupfer dress and funky up-do only further prove how cool she is. She'll always be on my best-dressed rankings!
2. Sophie Turner
The Game of Thrones stars were on a roll Sunday night. Turner looked chic in this romantic Valentino gown and rocked newly blonde locks. Her look makes a statement with its simplicity.
3. Yara Shahidi
The Black-ish star sported a youthful and self-expressed "whimsical" gown by Clara Rotescu. The clutch, bracelets, and dazzling earrings tie the outfit together with an age-appropriate edge. This look will keep Shahidi on numerous red carpet radars, including mine.
4. Padma Lakshmi
Lakshmi's metallic Naeem Khan ensemble could have easily gone overboard if not styled correctly. Luckily, she made the look modern and perfectly balanced with lipstick for a pop of color and a minuscule amount of jewelry. She looks nothing less than gorgeous.
5. Kristen Bell
I'm usually extremely picky when it comes to patterns, but the subtleness of this gown, not to mention the flattering shape, incorporate the pattern perfectly. I do wish Bell would have worn some more dramatic earrings, but her stylish tousled 'do makes up for it. Overall, it was a fun and fresh look.
6. Priyanka Chopra
Last, but certainly not least, is Priyanka Chopra in a stunning Jason Wu number. I usually get annoyed when stars twirl around and play with their dresses too much on the red carpet, as I believe a gown should speak for itself, but I wouldn't mind a thousand more of Chopra's twirls! This look is timeless, and everything from her hair to her decadent red hem is on point.
