34 Times You Referenced SpongeBob In Everyday Life

"Isn't SpongeBob a kids' show?" is something we have all probably heard after referencing a scene or episode from the cartoon show. Like most of us know, "SpongeBob Squarepants" has been so much more relevant in our adult lives than we could have ever imagined. On the surface, it may seem like it is a "kids' show," but just judging by the number of times you can apply a SpongeBob quote to everyday life, it is so much more than that. This is pretty good proof that SpongeBob quotes are sometimes the best response you can give in some situations.

1. When you answer a call that is meant for someone else.

2. When your friend asks for help backing the car out.

3. When you are saying goodbye to your classmates on the last day of high school.

4. When you ended up bombing a test.

5. When your friend leaves for a long period of time.

6. When your friends want to have fun, but you are full of angst.

7. When you're trying to think of a name for a pet.

8. When you need someone to hold on to something.

9. When your teacher yells at you for something in class.

10. When someone turns all of the lights off.

11. When you're over a friend's place, and you are dying of thirst.

12. When someone asks if you want some chocolate.

13. When you're in a group of annoyingly happy people.

14. When you decide to stay in on a Friday night.

15. When you wake up in the morning after only getting a few hours of sleep.

16. When it's Christmas Eve.

17. When you are surrounded by musically talented people, and they ask if you play anything.

18. When someone is about to say something that they shouldn't.

19. When you are trying to tell someone that they won't fit in your squad.

20. When Valentine's Day rolls around and you are surrounded by couples.

21. When someone calls you at home.

22. When you know you are eating way too much.

23. When you're having raviolis for dinner.

24. When somebody brings potato salad to a cookout.

25. When you're bringing home a pizza for dinner.

26. When someone points out a boulder.

27. When you hit your leg on something.

28. When you try the best sandwich and want to share it with the world.

29. When someone asks where your crazy thoughts come from.

30. When you are meeting people at school for the first time.

31. When someone does something stupid that you then have to fix.

32. When you are trying to comprehend growing up and thinking about your future.

33. When you can't handle being in class anymore.

34. When you wake up and you know that your look isn't going to get any better than this.

We all do it; it's OK. It's better to just accept it and find those people that will understand our references.

cousins

I've known you your entire life. More than likely I held you in the first three days of it and at least one of us cried. Cousins are truly one of the best things in the world and while sometimes I complain about how many people crowd Grandma's living room on Christmas Eve, I wouldn't trade you all anything.

You are my best friends, the only people who can understand what it's like on Thanksgiving, and you are the spunkiest people I have ever met. But you as so so young, most of you are just now starting your adventures in the public education system. I mean, I'm so very young too. I'm not married, I don't have children, heck, I just started my adult life, but I do want to give you what little advice I have. My dears, these are the things I want you to know.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
