Time to grab the ice cream and coupons for pizza, because it's officially that time of the year again.
Victoria's Secret annual Fashion Show will be on air December 8th, at 10:00/9:00 central time.
Being a lady like myself, I find it hard to not feel sorry for myself for not looking as up-to-par as some of them while watching the show. Being a whopping 5'2", there will never be any hope for me unfortunately.
A girl can still dream.
It's very easy to be starstruck as these 6-foot 120-pound goddesses walk across the stage and owns all eyeballs across the world at home.
It can also be just as easy to sham these beautiful models by being envious and not understanding the facts behind modeling for Victoria's Secret. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so here's mine on why no one should never skinny sham these jaw-dropping models:
In the past, she has been transformed to look like someone she may not actually be. At times change, Victoria's Secret is taking on a bigger meaning behind loving yourself.
"Describe how it felt to walk out on the runway with your natural hair.
"It felt amazing! The excitement that comes with walking a Victoria's Secret show is simply unique, so walking out my third show wearing my TWA was one the sexiest moments of my career so far!""
Maria clearly shows that through the entirety of looking the part, it's okay to stand out and be yourself. It's okay to rock your own unique attributes that make you, YOU!
Victoria Secret doesn't have hidden meanings behind the Fashion Show, other people do.
It is crucial to remember that this corporation does not suggest any unhealthy form to becoming a model. They look beautiful because they are beautiful. Period.
Bridget Malcom is attacked with skinny shamming
Bridget posted work-out selfies to show her audience how she was preparing before her big catwalk debut in the show that aires tomorrow. People seemed outraged at the fact that she was proud of her body.
She responded to the nasty remarks by making a statement,
"Can we STOP with the skinny shaming please? I am extremely fit and healthy and am not in the slightest way anorexic. I have worked hard to look like this and am proud of my body. I may not be the curviest but I am a woman who has every right to look the way I do. Maybe today take a look inside yourself and wonder why you feel the need to shame strangers over the Internet about their bodies. Peace and love to you all — let's change the conversation."
Being a tiny human being growing up myself, I was always insecure about not having the shape other girls did and what interested guys the most. This goes to show that although being skinny may seem like a disgusting attribute to someone, it may not entirely be their fault. - You go Bridget!
These models prepare all year and showcase their own various work-outs that are available for the public to see! Maybe if you're biter about their personal lives, you can relieve some stress and try a few techniques out.
The importance of being considerate
The job of these women is to walk in 8-inch heels and to look gorgeous doing it. They have personal trainers, they have the meal-plans, they do what they have to do to make a living from being beautiful. Who wouldn't want to have their job?
It is vital as individuals who have emotions and personalities such as everyone around them, to remember how diverse this world is. Tall, short, fat, skinny, black, white, it doesn't matter.
What matters is how we treat people and rid the negative assumptions of others. To focus on ourselves and worry about things that happen in our day-to-day lives, not others.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow night 10:00/9:00 central time and check out these beauties take on the runway! The astonishing outfits and music will take your breathe away. Confidence is a beautiful thing and these women should be applauded for doing an amazing job and looking as bada*s as they do.
Just remember, these girls are real humans. They feel real things and work just as hard as the rest of us to be successful.
