English singer, composer and pianist, Sir Elton John is one of the best-selling artists in music history. In his five-decade career, Elton John has sold more than 300 million records and has earned over 20 Grammy nominations for best male pop vocal performance, song of the year, record of the year, album of the year, and more. The five time Grammy- winner expressed the songs being redone with today's artists' own unique twists as "a thrill."
With the news of the reworked Elton John hits, fans began speculating the most anticipated tracks.
1. "I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues" - Performed by Alessia Cara
"I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues" was one of John's biggest hits in the 1980s. The song held onto the #2 spot for four weeks on the Adult Contemporary Chart. The song also features Stevie Wonder on the harmonica.
The Rocket Man's song has been covered numerous times, including once by Mary J. Blige, and is set to be reworked by Canadian breakout singer Alessia Cara. Fans are anticipating Cara's R&B-pop application of her version of Elton's 1983 hit.
2. "Bennie and the Jets" - Performed by Elton John, P!nk and Logic
John's 1973 hit first appeared on his wildly popular "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album. The acceptance of "Bennie and the Jets" as an R&B track helped earn John, a huge fan of soul music, a guest appearance on "Soul Train" in 1975.

"Candle in the Wind" was written in 1973 in honor of Marilyn Monroe who had died 11 years before.
