Ellen DeGeneres is known as a hero by many. Her gut-splitting humor combined with her sincere love for others gets her about 3.9 million views per episode. Not only does she make dreams come true, she also gives priceless gifts to deserving people. For example, she has reunited many soldiers and their wives. She has a heart bigger than any other. So much so, that she became the world's designated "Ellen". There's no need for last names here. Just say "Ellen" and everybody knows which one you're talking about.
I first saw Ellen when I was about 13 years old. I turned on the TV and her show was the first to come up. "Why not?" I thought to myself. I had heard of her show before, but had never tried watching it. Little did I know I was walking into a trap.
Her videos are addicting. Honestly, they really are. I find myself on YouTube for hours at a time watching her clips. Crying one second, laughing the next, and gasping in shock after that. She has made young kids's dreams come true, donated money to those in extreme need, and even given cars to hardworking people who need to get to work efficiently. Talk about a dream job. The amount of satisfaction she gets from all of that giving probably makes her feel on top of the world at all times. Not to mention the amount of fun she has. She treats her staff members like her best friends, and spends her free time on set dancing with them, scaring them, and just being Ellen. If only there were more of her in this world.
One of Ellen's many talents is sharing her opinion on touchy topics without hurting anyone's feelings. Everyone is sensitive about something, and most controversial topics have been brought up on the Ellen show. Although she may have totally opposite opinions from some of her viewers, she gets her point across in a way that only makes it possible to respect her even more.
Back in 2012, Ellen DeGeneres spoke on her show about Bic's newest creation: Bic for Her, pink and purple pens "designed especially for women." According to the pen's product description on Amazon, it is "a sleek pen silhouette" and its "jeweled accents add style". She fired shots at the company for their sexist invention, but in the classiest way possible.
She started off with a joke about the "relief" women should have when they find out there is finally a writing utensil for them.
Then she got even further into her sarcasm.
But, there are some catches to this exciting new product.
Ellen, thank you for saying exactly what all women want to say. You are the queen.
