This past week, Netflix released Ellen's return to the comedy stage as a special titled 'Relatable.' Personally, I have already watched the show several times and it has gotten funnier and funnier each time. With that, I started to catch on to some quotes of hers that will for sure come up in everyday conversation with my friends.
1. "People do the bath mat scoot when the butler forgets to put the towel next to the tub."
Even though most of us don't have a butler, we all know about the bath mat scoot.
2. "That's my happy birthday fist right there."
What most of us are thinking when people are singing happy birthday to us and we don't know who to look at or what to do at all really.
3. "You might not, but you might."
Will I ever need this shirt that I haven't worn in two years? I should probably keep it then.
4. "Why is that my job?"
5. "If that's your song when your 30, that'll be your song when you're 85."
We all have that song that gets us hyped, and it will probably stay our song forever.
6. "I don't read at home, but I'll read there."
I honestly don't remember the last time I read a book for fun (I'm really trying to get back into it though), but we've all thought that we were going to read on vacation and end up not actually doing it.
7. "It gives me anxiety when waiters refuse to write my order down."
I am a super picky eater, so I never ask for something on the menu just the way it is, I always have to make some sort of change to it. To say the least I get super nervous when a waiter/waitress does not write my order down.
8. "You buy a ladder when you're an adult."
9. "I've decided it's the best."
10. "I wrote that at three in the morning."
Where are my fellow procrastinating college students at? We've all been here before.
11. "I like to go fast, but I'm safe so slow drivers irritate me."
12. "When we're adults we get a junk drawer."
13. "We will never throw away a rubber band."
14. "The AA battery that doesn't work."
A staple in the junk drawer.
15. "Ah there's a squirrel, squirrels live in trees, trees have leaves, I should leave him!"
If these quotes don't make you want to watch Ellen.s comedy special then I don't know what will. Ellen is and always will be relatable.
